Paper mache mask question?

I want to make some paper mache masks for halloween decorations but i forgot how to do it. My freshman year in art we made half masks that were only the face and had nothing on the back, but i forgot how we did it. How do you make a paper mache mask that is like this, not one that goes on your head or anything.? Any help would be appreciated.Paper mache mask question?

There are a few ways you can do it.

Blow up a balloon and cover only one side with the paper mache.

With the help of a friend, cover your face in tin foil or saran wrap. Cut holes where your nostrils are so you can breathe. And make sure your friend doesn't cover that area with the paper. Have them works around it but take care not to cover.

If you can find one of those styrofoam or glass busts that people put wigs on that would work.

At costume stores you see those white or clear masks that are just of a face. You can apply the paper mache to those.

When I was in art class we had a plastic form of a face. I have no clue where you could find those. Maybe a craft store.

Do you remember how to do paper mache? Or did you just want to know how to do the half masks? I only ask because I have no problem typing up instructions for how to do it if need be.

Hope I helped! Good luck :)
